Introduction
Merch.com collaborated with Red Bull to create a unique set of merchandise and championship boxes for the winners of the Red Bull Solo Q, a tournament where the top League of Legends players compete in intense 1v1 battles with a unique set of rules. The winners from 18 countries and six regional qualifiers were invited to the World Final at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere in London, UK, alongside an exclusive experience at the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational.
Objectives
The main objective of the project was to create a unique set of merchandise and championship boxes for the winners of the Red Bull Solo Q tournament that reflected the event's branding and theme. The boxes needed to be practical, high-quality, and unique, providing the winners with a memorable experience that reflected their accomplishment.
Design Process
The team at Merch.com worked closely with Red Bull to understand the branding and theme of the Red Bull Solo Q tournament. They developed a creative concept for the championship boxes that combined Red Bull's unique aesthetic with League of Legends' iconic imagery. The championship boxes featured a custom branded die cut design with a wide variety of super cool merch on the inside, including t-shirts, hoodies, hats, custom mousepad and keyboard and other League of Legends-themed items. To ensure high-quality production, the team at Merch.com worked with trusted vendors to source high-quality materials for the merchandise and the championship boxes. They also worked closely with Red Bull to ensure that the boxes reflected the event's branding and theme.
