What is Merch Shops?

Merch Shops is a branded online store run by Merch.com. It sells the merch we already produce and warehouse for your brand, so the product, the storefront and the shipping are one system. You pick the products and the prices, we build the store, and we fulfill every order.

How do I start a store?

Get in touch and tell us about your brand and what you want to sell. We build the store with you: the products, the prices, the domain and the way it looks. You see it and approve it before anything is public.

How is Merch Shops different from Shopify?

Shopify is a store builder: you still have to source, stock and ship the product, and you build the store yourself. Merch Shops starts from the other end. The merch is already made and sitting in our warehouse, and we build the store around it. If you love your Shopify store, keep it and connect it to us instead.

I already have a Shopify store. Do I need Merch Shops?

No. Install the free Merch.com app from the Shopify App Store and orders for your merch flow straight to our warehouse, with tracking written back to Shopify. Merch Shops is for brands that would rather we ran the store too.

What can I sell in a Merch Shop?

Products we produced for your brand and hold in stock: apparel, headwear, drinkware, bags, tech accessories and more. A shop lists only what the warehouse holds, so you are not selling against a supplier lead time.

Can I build a company store for employees?

Yes. A Merch Shop works well as an employee store where people buy their own gear. If the company is paying, use a campaign instead: it gives you invite-only access, email-domain and password gates, spend limits and per-person order caps, and we ship from the same warehouses.

Do I need my own domain?

You do not need one to get started. Every store gets an address on our platform and stays private while you review it. When you are ready, we put it on a domain you own, such as shop.yourbrand.com, and handle the SSL certificate.

Who handles shipping, and where do you ship?

We do. Orders are picked, packed and shipped from our warehouses with tracking sent to the shopper. Merch Shops sells to US shoppers in US dollars. Shopify Connect routes orders across our US, UK and EU warehouses.

How soon can my store be live?

It depends on whether we already make and hold your merch. If your products are with us, the store itself is quick. If we are starting from artwork, production and stocking set the pace. Tell us the date you want to be selling by and we will tell you straight what is achievable.

How much does Merch Shops cost?

Building your store and previewing it costs nothing. Running it is on a monthly plan, and the merch and its fulfillment are billed like any other order with us. We walk you through the numbers before anything is billed.
